Are podcast downloads really free?
Yes. Searching and downloading from public podcast feeds is free. Your browser downloads the audio file linked by the podcast publisher.
Will every episode download as an MP3?
Not always. The publisher chooses the audio format, which may be MP3, M4A, or another format. This page downloads the original file and does not convert or re-encode it.
Why did the audio open instead of downloading?
Some publishers serve audio for playback in the browser. Use the browser’s audio menu or right-click the audio and choose “Save Audio As” to store it on your device.
Why can’t I find an older episode?
The list comes from the podcast’s public RSS feed. Some publishers only include recent episodes or remove older audio from their feed.
